Animal husbandry is the science of management of livestock. It is the art and science of domesticating, breeding and feeding animals, while controlling diseases, for commercial purposes. Livestock includes cows, buffaloes, horses, pigs, goats, camels, poultry and fish. Fisheries include catching, rearing and selling of fish, mollusks and crustaceans. The commercially viable products obtained from rearing animals are milk, eggs, meat, skin, silk and honey. As these products have a great demand in the wake of increasing human needs, there is no need to improve their quality and productivity.
